Planning our return trip to Costa Rica we just had to include a night or two at the Bergerac. We decided to stay at the Bergerac at the beginning of our two weeks in Costa Rica and to use their travel service to advise and book our trips while in their country. As on our previous visit as soon as we stepped inside the hotel we were made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble for the staff there. We had decided, prior to our arrival, the areas we wanted to visit and had contacted the Bergerac before we left England in order that they could arrange our internal flights and book our lodges etc. As promised this was done and we were handed a detailed itinerary which meant that we could relax knowing that everything had been organized for us. As before, our room was beautiful and extremely peaceful - we had time to relax in our private patio garden after our lengthy flight from the UK. Dinner at the hotel's new Cyrano's restaurant was fun. We started off with one of their speciality cocktails then went on to eat a delicious meal, we can both definitely recommend their steak.I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone who wants a welcoming and relaxing stay while in San Jose - We just love it!

Having now returned safely to the UK, I felt that I must write to you briefly in order to express my sincere thanks for providing us with such an excellent base from which to explore the wonders of Costa Rica.

Our stay at Le Bergerac (30th December to 5th January) was most enjoyable. The hotel itself was both elegant and welcoming: the room (08) was spacious and comfortable. The staff were amazing. Everybody that we dealt with was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and very helpful. Especial thanks are due to Marcela, Frank and Johnny who all helped to make our all too brief visit to your beautiful country most memorable. Your team at the 'Front Desk' is most definitely to be congratulated (and thanked!)for some really excellent restaurant recommendations!!

All in all I have to say that I have rarely come across a team who all appear to be totally dedicated to ensuring the comfort, enjoyment and well-being of the hotel guest! And I have been travelling the globe now for over 40 years.

The stay at the hotel was wonderful. What made the difference was the superb personal attention of your entire staff. They went beyond the basic courtesies to make us truly fell we were at home.

We can not visit Costa Rica without returning to the Bergerac. From the minute of stepping through the door to the minute of leaving we were made to feel welcome, the ever helpful staff were always on hand to assist and advise. We were amazed at how peaceful a hotel in the centre of a busy city could be with beautifully furnished rooms surrounded by colorful tropical gardens. We spent a wonderful three weeks in Costa Rica thanks to the Bergerac staff having arranged an exciting trip for us along the Pacific coast. From booking our internal flights to the car hire and finding amazing jungle lodges for us to stay in they arranged everything for us. Thank you for making our visit such a memorable one - we will definitely be back.
