We were especially grateful for the concerns and help we received when my wife was unexpectedly hospitalized for a few days. You have one of the most customer oriented staffs we have seen at any hotel and we have traveled extensively in numerous countries.

Having now returned safely to the UK, I felt that I must write to you briefly in order to express my sincere thanks for providing us with such an excellent base from which to explore the wonders of Costa Rica.

Our stay at Le Bergerac (30th December to 5th January) was most enjoyable. The hotel itself was both elegant and welcoming: the room (08) was spacious and comfortable. The staff were amazing. Everybody that we dealt with was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and very helpful. Especial thanks are due to Marcela, Frank and Johnny who all helped to make our all too brief visit to your beautiful country most memorable. Your team at the 'Front Desk' is most definitely to be congratulated (and thanked!)for some really excellent restaurant recommendations!!

All in all I have to say that I have rarely come across a team who all appear to be totally dedicated to ensuring the comfort, enjoyment and well-being of the hotel guest! And I have been travelling the globe now for over 40 years.

You are to be highly commended. Please ensure that my thanks are conveyed to the 'Front Desk' team and particularly to the 3 individuals specifically mentioned above. Thank you.

We can not visit Costa Rica without returning to the Bergerac. From the minute of stepping through the door to the minute of leaving we were made to feel welcome, the ever helpful staff were always on hand to assist and advise. We were amazed at how peaceful a hotel in the centre of a busy city could be with beautifully furnished rooms surrounded by colorful tropical gardens. We spent a wonderful three weeks in Costa Rica thanks to the Bergerac staff having arranged an exciting trip for us along the Pacific coast. From booking our internal flights to the car hire and finding amazing jungle lodges for us to stay in they arranged everything for us. Thank you for making our visit such a memorable one - we will definitely be back.

After about the second or third time I had thanked Franc for such an excellent job, he smiled and enthusiastically reassured me , ”it is my job, sir”. I am sorry that I do not have the names of all the other staff members as well but they all were equally accommodating. We had five people in three rooms and were very comfortable. Recently a group of us traveled from the US for our second vacation trip to Costa Rica. On our first night, we elected to stay at your hotel. This was the "Ricketts" group of 12 on 2/8/05. The purpose of this email is to tell you how much I enjoyed our night at your hotel and how wonderfully lovely and immaculate the hotel and our deluxe room was! It was a sheer pleasure and delight to stay in the hotel and the restaurant was wonderful! Your management even graciously allowed one of our male visitors who had not packed any pants, but only shorts, to dine in the hotel with our group. The atmosphere and food was lovely and everything was spotlessly clean! Thanks so much for making our first night in San Jose a wonderful start to our 10 day vacation in Costa Rica. For our future trips, we will definitely put staying at Hotel Le Bergerac for our future trips at the top of our list for accommodations in San Jose.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel LeBergerac on June 30. Unfortunately, we were unable to get there on the first night of our reservation (June 27) because the airline canceled the flight as a result of the air traffic control strike.

The hotel is beautiful and the food was excellent. The service was very good and your staff was very helpful in dealing with our travel arrangements. Costa Rica is a great country and I will recommend Hotel LeBergerac to anyone planning to visit San Jose.

We have now been to Costa Rica twice -- and definitely will return. When we are in San Jose, Hotel Le Bergerac will be our home. This trip we spent a week in Quepos at Si Como No and in the Manuel Antonio National Forest. When we come the next time we will probably go to the Guanacoste area or the Osa Peninsula. We have decided that we will always end our trip with two or three days in the San Jose area (and at Le Bergerac).

We have been very busy since we returned to the U.S. from Costa Rica, and I just remembered that we never said "Thank you!" for sending the forgotten pants to us at the Hotel Mango. (Reminder: We stayed with you in early January, and we left a pair of pants. You had them sent to the Hotel Mango where we were staying just before getting on the plane to go home.) We were so glad that you sent them, and even more impressed that you remembered where we were going to stay, and when we would be there....Thank you!!!!

The Hotel Mango (a new one I think?) was quite comfortable, but not as quiet and homey as the Hotel Bergerac. Not many restaurants near-by either.
Thank you so much for a very pleasant stay...If/when we return to San Jose, we certainly will return to the Hotel Bergerac.

Hello to all my friends at the hotel,
 
I just wanted to let you all know how much I appreciated how well you took care of me during my stay at the hotel.
It is sometimes difficult and lonely for a single traveler when he is spending 10 days alone in a strange new country, but all of you made me feel very comfortable and welcome.
 
Lilliam - You run a first class hotel. The accommodations are lovely and have all the conveniences any traveler could want, but you are also blessed with a wonderful staff that will go out of their way to help your guests with ANYTHING the need.  Sr. Arce, Franc, Roy, Carla, David, Sira and of course Marcela, (and the others whose names I forgot) made me feel like family.
I look forward to seeing you all again very soon.
