La Paz Waterfall:
Situated at the base of the Poas Volcano approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes drive from San Jose , the La Paz Waterfall Gardens offer visitors the opportunity to get up close and personal with nature. Butterflies, hummingbirds and waterfalls are among many attractions. The Butterfly Observatory is the largest in the world. Spanning the length of a football field and reaching heights of 50 feet , this enclosed structure allows butterflies to soar freely while guests walk amid the natural habitat. As you wander the trails your senses will delight at the five waterfalls that line the trail. The place is a primarily a self-guided tour allowing the visitors to proceed directly to their areas of interest. If you would rather have a guide for your group, you can get one for an additional charge with an advance reservation. |

Aerial tram Pacific:
The Tram is conveniently located just outside the beach town of Jacó . It is a new eco-tourism project with 222 acres (90 hectares) of forest. The property offers not only one of the most interesting and exuberant forests in the Americas, but also showcases small waterfalls and scenic views of the Pacific Coast, which visitors can enjoy during the Tram ride.
